The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, within the Neurological Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, is currently recruiting multiple Adult psychiatrists to provide psychiatric services at our inpatient psychiatric hub hospitals – Lutheran Hospital in Ohio City and Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights. Candidates should be board-certified by the ABPN. Geriatric psychiatry expertise is highly desired.

Both Cleveland Clinic hospitals house a large number of inpatient psychiatric beds (100 at Lutheran Hospital, 58 at Marymount Hospital), supported by a strong hospital leadership, experienced inpatient psychiatry directors, talented physician and nursing colleagues, responsive medical / surgical consultants, and robust emergency medicine services.
The inpatient psychiatry service line is well integrated in the mission and strategy of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, and the Neurological Institute.
In addition to inpatient behavioral health care, both hospitals offer the full spectrum of psychiatric services, including on site outpatient psychiatry clinics, psychiatric treatment resistant programs, ECT, and mood disorder and chemical dependency intensive outpatient programs.

In addition to the inpatient psychiatry practice, the interested candidate is expected to develop a niche outpatient psychiatry clinic. Academic and research opportunities exist within advanced therapeutics and psychedelic trials. Teaching psychiatry residents and medical students enhances the candidate’s experience, while working in a collaborative and collegial environment of physicians, nurses, advanced practice practitioners, and therapists. Weekend obligatory call is 1 in 7 weekends.
