AAGP Certificate Program in Geriatric Mental Health

The AAGP Certificate Program in Geriatric Mental Health is a comprehensive, flexible, and self-paced educational experience designed to deepen participants’ knowledge and strengthen their clinical practice in caring for older adults. The program features 15 expert-led, on-demand modules covering core and advanced topics in geriatric mental health, along with monthly live office hours that provide opportunities for interactive discussion and engagement with national leaders in the field. Designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, nutritionists, and other licensed healthcare professionals, the program allows participants to complete the educational content at their own pace. Enrollment is available exclusively to active AAGP members for a one-time fee of $500. Participants who successfully complete all 15 required modules will receive an AAGP Certificate in Geriatric Mental Health and may claim applicable continuing education credit.

The AAGP Board Review Course in Geriatric Psychiatry is now available on demand, providing a flexible opportunity for clinicians to access this comprehensive, high-yield program at their convenience. Designed for geriatric psychiatrists preparing for board certification or recertification, fellows, and other healthcare professionals caring for older adults, the course offers a structured review of essential topics related to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions in older adults. Led by experienced, board-certified geriatric psychiatrists and nationally recognized educators, the curriculum emphasizes evidence-based, real-world practice and includes board-style self-assessment questions to help participants evaluate their knowledge, identify learning gaps, and reinforce key concepts. The on-demand course is available for purchase through December 31, 2026, and purchasers will have access to the content through July 1, 2027.
