ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine are seeking a fellowship trained BE/BC Geriatric Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will join a growing academic division. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.

The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, opened January 2026. The new facility will include up to 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of geriatric patients.

Opportunity exists to serve as fellowship director for a new geriatric fellowship for interested applicants.

• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center and the new Behavioral Health Hospital, Greenville, NC, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients at the ECU Health Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine outpatient clinic and the ECU Health Family Medicine Monk Geriatric Center as well as providing inpatient consults
• Opportunity to develop a consultation service for multiple nursing homes within close proximity to the medical center
• Support from and collaboration with 4 neuropsychologists
• Monday-Friday 8a – 5p schedule with rotating night call by phone
• 24/7 resident coverage including taking first call
